Impulsivity
Def: Inclined to act on impulse rather than thought.
I’m not sure why, but I find myself being impulsive at times for some things that I think are not terribly important such as hobbies, drinking habits, website work, sleep habits, etc. It has occurred to me recently that even being impulsive in these areas is having a negative consequence for those around me. Many people like predictability and stability and my behaviors as of the past have not instilled that in those around me. Today I am going to start being more aware of my impulsive nature and behave the way I would expect from others. This is not to say that I am planning to not be fun and impulsive every once in a while, but rather to curtail it where it could be doing damage.
