I have had an issue for several weeks now where I installed a plugin for Safari called Saft which extends the capabilities of Safari. The problem is that it’s not worth the $12 they are trying to charge for it. I uninstalled it and kept getting a message when I loaded Safari that the saft.app was missing. I looked everywhere for some clue of how to get rid of the annoying message. I looked on the Saft support web pages and even wrote the creator. No response, no luck. Finally I started looking around and found a file in the HD->Library->Input Methods folder and found the Saft file that was causing the issue. I am happy to now load Safari without this annoying message. Just on principle I now have no plans to purchase Saft regardless of the functionality it plans for the future.

During a recent benchmarking test it was reported that Windows XP is more than twice as fast as it’s successor Vista. As someone who works in the software industry, Vista has become an absolute nightmare to support and certify. It’s now disheartening to learn that the OS doesn’t show any performance improvements over it’s predecessor.

As you probably are aware, in my personal life I am a Mac man - and am once again happy about making that decision. I just hope that Santa has done the same.
